Information for Voters

The Mankato City council includes seven members: the mayor, one at-large city councilperson and city council representatives from each of the five wards in the city. Fardousa is running to represent Ward 3 on the city council.

IMPORTANT: Fardousa needs your vote in the primary on Tues, Aug 14th to be on the ballot in November!

The general election for Mankato City Council (like most other elected offices) is on election day, Tuesday, November 6th. However, because there are more than two candidates running to represent Ward 3, a primary election will be held on Tuesday, August 14th. Only the two candidates with the most primary votes will appear on the ballot in November.

Voting in the primary is very important! There are three canidates running and only the two with the most primary votes will appears on the November ballot.

What if I can't vote on those days?

We expect that there will be mail-in (absentee) options and early in-person voting opportunities at the Blue Earth County courthouse for the primary and general election. We'll post more information here when we have it.
